I was sitting in the home of Arong 1, the high Naga 2, along with my group (Terry the Terrible, Sheesha) 3 4, and a stranger I had gone on a quest with named Ragnar. I was explaining the situation of Ragu-Lo to Arong, when a new stranger arrived: a holy man named Krishna. Krishna was very strange—dressed oddly, speaking an almost unintelligible language, and saying things about being from another “plane.” But I digress. With this new stranger having arrived, I reintroduced the situation, and seemed to have everyone on board for helping. Arong offered assistance, but at a price of course. I had very little money on hand then, but once I regained control of the Yellow City junk, I would have access to plenty with which to pay. The plan was laid thus: Krishna and Arong board the junk, convince Ragu-Lo to step off board and into a local tavern in Fairmead, where he would be assaulted by the warrior Ragnar. Meanwhile, myself and my retainers would sneak on board and find Hapa-H. With Terry the Terrible’s holy water, we shall undo Ragu-Lo’s tattoo curse, free my master, and have the traitorous Ragu-Lo out of commission.

1. There are inconsistencies on the name Arong, sometimes the name's characters are arranged that the transliteration would render it: Ranga, at other times, Arong. 
2. Another inconsistency in the text, in other mentions of the Arong/Ranga character mentions them as a High Naga-crossbreed. The offspring of a union between a Naga and some other creature.
3. There seems to be no mention of the others that came with Hu A to the Island of Erewhon: Rent Opkip, the Lamarakh mercenary mute, Aba Thra, the Yellow-City warrior, and Mona, the Ape soldier's trainer. Shikki the Leyak is not seen anymore, only an obscure reference of losing her in the Jungles of Erewhon.
4. There are references to Sheesha as a Low Naga crossbreed Axolotl-man warrior and Terry the Terrible as a ethnically Easterosian former slave holy-man, Eastero being the Yoon-Suin word for the land of Jötunheimr. Terry the Terrible is frequently mentioned as being inauspicious and subhuman because of being white-skinned, having blue eyes and blonde hair. This shines a little light on the superstitions toward outsiders and the race-relations of Yoon-Suin.

"Well... you are probably wondering who I am... and how I got all mixed up in these adventures. My name is Krishna... well it is now that I've been reborn in an alternate world after becoming a follower of Ganesh. Yup... that Ganesh, and to think back on Earth, I was an Atheist. Turns out not only most types of Gods, and entities are real, but so are other worlds and dimensions. Unless of course, this is all some sort of weird death dream I'm experiencing as I die back on Earth. On Earth, I was Dr. Chris Schreyer. I was... well still am in a way, a Linguist. Thankfully most language rules still exist in other worlds... so that's a positive I guess? This is all still very new and strange to me, and I'm just trying to get used to letting that be my new normal in this place. Well, here's to what this life has in store!"

Special Report from Another Reality: The Mad Monks and The Doom Pagodas

 This is a special session report detailing my first solo adventure tabletop game using Mad Monks of Kwantoom and Red Tide .  Here I will describe the session as well as give my feelings about the solo experience and my experience with using Mad Monks of Kwantoom . The setting is different from Yoon-Suin, but as well has that Asian flavor so I am using this blog to do the session report. The report is two sessions, one taking up most of one afternoon and another taking up an hour in the morning. Session one was me creating the characters and figuring out how to run the game as well as playing it. Session two was finishing up the adventure. Creating the characters was a bit troublesome since I had to figure out what game I was using since I don't have Labyrinth Lord which Mad Monks is used for. I tried using OSE thief rules for the monks, but found it too bothersome because of the complexity so I settled on using Delving Deeper's thief rules for the monks for ease of use....

Session recap of 03/19/2021

03/19/2021 We left from Arong’s place to head into Fairmead, but not before Ragnar made friends with a crab man—one of the strangest things I have observed since leaving the Yellow City. We stopped at the Sea God’s Temple to give Terry some space to prepare his holy water. We met the priestess there and hired her to be our new translator. After that, we went to the Dwarven Mercenaries HQ to speak with the local leaders about the threat of Ragu Lo. They not only offered us assistance, but also modified our plan to help it run more smoothly. We hired a luxury sailboat that will take us out to the junk, and from there we shall put our plan into effect. We went from the HQ to the hotel for the night. I noticed a fluttering piece of paper, which I picked up. The note was signed by Ragu-Lo... and it seemed that he knows about our plan. It was then that I noticed the moon seemed… off. It was fuller than it should’ve been that night. It seemed like it was… dripping.
